Farm Among Us | A Smorgasbord of Goodness!

I collaborated with Farm Among Us, a local, Washington farming coop, to create an Instagram post that was eye-grabbing, exciting, and captured their aesthetic and goals.

I was drawn to the owner’s words “a smorgasbord of goodness.”  Who doesn’t want to be overwhelmed with an array of good and healthy choices?!  I imagined a kaleidoscopic image of produce from the farm moving about in a looping pattern.

Wanting to accurately represent the farm’s output I diligently photographed dozens of vegetables and fruits from the farm from multiple angles, edited them in Lightroom and Photoshop, and imported them into After Effects.

The animation was trickier.  At first I was imagining a more energetic, pulsating vibe.  However, upon review both the owner and I agreed that the energy didn’t reflect the more serene aesthetic of the farm.  And so we went with a smoother, yet exciting animation.
